[Just mindless rambling 2]

It is commonly perceived that Ancient China has little place and no respect for the ladies. However, that is partially untrue. From a bird eye view, we are safe to say that there aren't much women's right at that time. However, there are foods of thought which is worth re-looking. Taking the relationship between husband and wife, respecting each other as equal counterpart... is heavily empathise as an important value (Wedding ceremony has specific items, things to do to signify their equality). Wait, aren't Man are all allow to have many wives at that time? To be exact, there is only ONE wife. The rest are mistresses. The only difference between now and then is that the Man are allowed to have mistresses openly in the past, and now...... well you know. Wait, aren't women are not allow to work like man and cannot intervene in Men affairs? True, but that only applies to the rich and nobles where two incomes are not needed to sustain a family. To the rich and nobles, Men are also not allow to interfere with women's work as a form of respect. Furthermore, there are times where women do arise above man. Chinese have the world first lady emperor (Its not a typo, she do declare herself as 皇帝)
