[Just mindless rambling 4]

Lets talk about food today. The records of Sashimi is not found in Japan but in China. There is this 成語 call 膾炙人口 which means immensely popular. If you break them into units, you will find that 炙 refers to BBQ and 膾refers to raw food. From texts, 膾 commonly associate itself with fish, and thus, here we have our sashimi.

Thanks to the detailed accounts that have been passed for thousand of years, we know how this ancient Sashimi is being prepared and eaten. For the southern region, it is more common to find Sashimi to be sliced into bee-hoon like slices. In the north, there are being cut in to block(similar to the Japanese Sashimi). The type of sauce use also depends on the season. In spring, 蔥, namely welsh onion is use. In autumn, it will then be wasabi. Of course there are much more to it like knife work and stuff but I won't bore everyone with details. Very hungry now after typing so much about food......
